During the Rally Dakar’s arrival at the province of San Juan, the secretary of tourism, Enrique Meyer, ventured a favorable prediction for the Argentina regarding the possibility of organizing again the competition in the 2011 edition. ¨This week we reached the 50% of probabilities of being chosen again as organizers of the 2011 Rally Dakar and we hope we get the rest 50% during the first month after the end of the 2010 edition¨, Meyer said accompanied by the governor of San Juan, Jose Luis Gioja. The Nation Secretary of tourism explained that the success of the organization in the last editions of 2009 and 2010, due to the conditions given regarding security, logistic, also for the massive influence of the public that revolutionized the Dakar, highly increases the possibilities of organizing the 2011 edition in the country. “With the realization of the Dakar, Argentina was installed in the World, not Orly for offering a diversity of landscapes but also for guaranteeing the security and quality of the country¨, Meyer said.
